A nearby homeowner intervened, armed himself, and held Jordan at gunpoint until law enforcement officers arrived. The sheriff’s office said the homeowner’s actions likely saved the injured woman’s life.

Pennsylvania State Police said troopers responded to a reported domestic dispute and house fire at 618 Hill Street in Manorville Borough, where multiple fire departments were already working to extinguish the blaze.

According to PSP Kittanning, troopers were dispatched to the residence at approximately 10:52 a.m. Friday after receiving reports of an active domestic dispute occurring at the property, along with a structure fire.

When troopers arrived, they encountered multiple fire departments already on scene battling the flames. Firefighters worked to contain and extinguish the blaze while law enforcement officers began investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As emergency crews responded to the fire, investigators also began searching the surrounding area for individuals who may have been connected to the reported domestic dispute and the circumstances leading up to the blaze.

According to authorities, the incident was reported at approximately 2:55 a.m. Saturday, when New Hampshire State Police dispatch received a call concerning a man who had entered Ossipee Lake in Freedom to swim.

The man was reportedly believed to have gone underwater and could not be located.

The emergency call prompted a response from multiple agencies, with first responders quickly arriving at the lake and beginning a search for the missing swimmer.

As responders worked to locate him, members of the Center Ossipee Dive Rescue Team joined the search effort. The rescue team eventually located the man in the water in the area where he had last been seen going under.

The man was recovered from the lake and brought to shore, where first responders immediately began lifesaving efforts.

Despite those efforts, the victim could not be revived and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Authorities later identified the victim as 45-year-old Shawn Meader of Waterville, Maine.

MANORVILLE BOROUGH, PA — Tiffany Kaufman, 35, of Kittanning, Pennsylvania, was arrested and charged with arson following a structure fire that claimed the life of 51-year-old Randall Eckman of Manorville Borough, according to Pennsylvania State Police in Kittanning. The incident occurred Friday morning, August 7, 2026, at a residence on Hill Street in Manorville Borough after authorities received reports of an active domestic dispute and a house fire.

According to PSP Kittanning, state troopers responded at approximately 10:52 a.m. after receiving a report of an active domestic dispute and a structure fire at 618 Hill Street in Manorville Borough.
