The Porter County Coroner’s Office has officially identified Martin Meschede as the victim of the fatal single-vehicle crash after his family was notified. According to the Indiana State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 4:28 a.m. as Martin was riding his 2024 Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on the Indiana Toll Road. The impact ejected Martin from the motorcycle, and he came to rest approximately 144 feet from the point of impact. Authorities stated that the motorcycle remained upright after the collision and traveled nearly 1,000 feet before coming to rest on the inside shoulder of the eastbound lanes.
