BEAUMONT, Texas — The victim of a fatal hit-and-run crash in Beaumont has been identified as 38-year-old Justin Balka, whose life was tragically cut short Friday evening after he was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Washington Boulevard.
The deadly crash happened on Friday, August 14, 2026, at approximately 8:39 p.m., when Beaumont Police officers responded to the 2900 block of Washington Boulevard following reports of an auto-pedestrian collision.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found an unresponsive man lying in the roadway. Beaumont EMS was called to assist, but despite the emergency response, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Authorities later identified the victim as Justin Balka, 38.
