COFFEE COUNTY, Ala. — August 15, 2026 — With heavy hearts, we remember Joshua P. Roberts, 41, of Brundidge, Alabama, who tragically lost his life in an ATV crash early Saturday morning in Coffee County.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Roberts was operating a 2013 Yamaha Grizzly 700 ATV when the crash occurred at approximately 1:45 a.m. on Coffee County Road 111 near Coffee County Road 100. Authorities said Roberts was traveling in the area when the ATV struck a deer, causing the devastating crash.

The impact caused Roberts to be thrown from the ATV. Despite the circumstances, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash happened approximately 15 miles north of Enterprise.

A quiet early-morning ride turned into an unimaginable tragedy, leaving behind family members, friends, and loved ones who are now facing the painful reality of his sudden passing. The loss of a loved one without warning can leave a profound emptiness, and those who knew Joshua will undoubtedly carry memories of him with them in the days and years ahead.

Joshua’s passing is a heartbreaking reminder of how quickly life can change. An unexpected encounter with wildlife on a roadway can create dangerous conditions for motorists and ATV riders, particularly during nighttime hours when visibility is limited.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Additional information may be released as the investigation progresses.

At this difficult time, our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to Joshua’s family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. May they find strength in the memories they shared, comfort in one another, and peace as they navigate the difficult days ahead.

May Joshua P. Roberts rest peacefully, and may his memory forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
