With profound sadness, we remember Timothy Williams, 49, of Greenwich, Ohio, whose life was tragically taken in a two-vehicle crash on Monday evening, August 17, 2026, in Bronson Township, Huron County.
Timothy was involved in a devastating collision at the intersection of Peru Olena Road and Old State Road at approximately 8:29 p.m. The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Norwalk Post is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
According to the preliminary investigation, Spencer Brotzki, 18, of Monroeville, was operating a 2012 Ford F-350 westbound on Peru Olena Road. At the same time, Timothy was driving a 2016 Dodge Ram 3500 southbound on Old State Road.
Investigators said roadway evidence gathered at the scene indicated that Brotzki failed to stop at the posted stop sign at the intersection. The Ford then struck Timothy’s Dodge Ram on the driver’s side.
The force of the collision sent both vehicles off the roadway toward the southwest. During the crash, the Dodge Ram also struck two traffic signposts.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene to provide assistance. Despite the response of first responders, Timothy sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased by the Huron County Coroner.
Brotzki survived the collision and was transported by North Central EMS to Fisher-Titus Hospital with minor injuries.
The intersection and surrounding roadways were temporarily closed while investigators and emergency personnel worked at the scene, documented evidence, and began determining exactly how the tragic collision occurred. The roads have since been reopened to vehicular traffic.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted during the response by the Huron County Sheriff’s Office, Norwalk Fire Department, North Central EMS, Interstate Towing, Huron County Coroner, and the Huron County Department of Transportation.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities may release additional information as the circumstances surrounding the crash become clearer.
For Timothy’s family, friends, and everyone who knew him, the investigation cannot lessen the pain of losing someone so suddenly. A life that should have continued for many more years was instead brought to an unexpected end on a Huron County roadway.
At 49 years old, Timothy leaves behind memories that will remain with the people who loved him. His absence will be felt in countless ways—in conversations that can no longer happen, in familiar places that will feel different, and in the memories shared by those fortunate enough to have known him.
During this difficult time, may Timothy’s family and loved ones find comfort in the memories he leaves behind. May they find strength in one another and in the support of their community as they face the days ahead.
Rest peacefully, Timothy Williams.
Your life was taken far too soon, but the memories you created and the love you shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew you.
