Nicole Karastury Elliott, 35, was fatally shot during a reported domestic dispute involving 36-year-old Andrew Roy Harris of Phenix City, Alabama, Monday morning at a residence on Georgia Highway 208 in Waverly Hall.
Harris County 911 received a report of an unresponsive woman in the front yard of a residence in the 9300 block of Georgia Highway 208 at approximately 12:37 p.m. on August 17, 2026.
When deputies arrived, they discovered Elliott deceased in the yard. Investigators said she appeared to have suffered a single gunshot wound.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, investigators determined that Elliott had been involved in a domestic dispute with Harris at approximately 10:04 a.m. During the dispute, Elliott was fatally shot.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division conducted the follow-up investigation, while the Georgia Bureau of Investigation assisted by processing the crime scene and collecting evidence.
Suspect Wanted
Authorities say Harris fled the scene following the shooting and is currently wanted by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Felony Murder and Aggravated Assault.
Investigators said Harris was last seen on foot in Phenix City, Alabama, after fleeing the America’s Best Value Inn near the U.S. Highway 280 Bypass.
Authorities are warning the public not to approach Harris if he is spotted. Anyone who sees him or has information about his whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately or contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation remains active, and authorities said additional information will be released when appropriate.
