With profound sadness, we remember Sam Fixico, 63, whose life was tragically cut short in a fatal stabbing in Shawnee, Oklahoma, on the night of August 11, 2026.

According to the Shawnee Police Department, officers were called at approximately 11:00 p.m. to the 400 block of N. Washington Avenue following a report of a stabbing. When officers arrived at the residence, they discovered a male victim inside who was later identified as Sam Fixico. Sadly, Fixico was pronounced deceased at the scene.

His death has left a community facing heartbreak and sorrow as authorities continue working to understand the circumstances surrounding the tragedy. A life that had been lived for 63 years came to a devastating end, leaving behind memories that will remain with those who knew and loved him.

Police have arrested Eric Anderson, who was booked into the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center on a complaint of First-Degree Murder. The arrest represents an allegation, and the investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue gathering information and working to establish the full circumstances that led to Fixico’s death.
