CLEARFIELD COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA — With heavy hearts, family, friends, and loved ones are mourning the tragic loss of Jacqueline L. Smith, 51, of Clearfield, who died Friday afternoon following a devastating UTV crash in Penn Township.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred around 2:18 p.m. on August 7 along Keiser Road. Jacqueline was a passenger in a 2022 Can-Am Defender that left the roadway while traveling westbound and struck a tree. She was ejected from the UTV and suffered fatal injuries.

Her sudden passing has left her family and loved ones heartbroken. At 51 years old, Jacqueline’s life was tragically cut short, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Authorities said the driver, Levi A. Smith, 45, of Sidman, was later determined to have been under the influence. He was charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI. The investigation remains ongoing.

While the circumstances surrounding the crash are heartbreaking, Jacqueline will be remembered for the life she lived and the people who loved her. Her memory will continue through the stories shared, photographs treasured, and countless moments held close by her family and friends.
