DENTON, Texas — With profound sadness, we remember 31-year-old Collin Farley of Arlington and the unidentified female victim whose lives were tragically lost following a shooting Sunday afternoon in Denton. While Farley has been identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, the woman’s identity remains pending positive forensic identification as authorities continue their investigation.

According to the Denton Police Department, officers and firefighters responded to the 1900 block of N. Bell Avenue at approximately 2:35 p.m. Sunday after receiving reports of a shooting.

When first responders arrived, they found a man and woman outside a residence. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives have confirmed that the female victim and Farley had previously been in a relationship.

For the families and loved ones affected, these details represent far more than a police investigation. They represent the sudden loss of two people whose lives were connected to families, friends and others who cared about them.

The woman, whose name has not yet been publicly released, deserves to be remembered as more than a victim in a tragic case. She was a person with her own life, memories, relationships and people who loved her deeply.

In Loving Memory of Shakur Wilmer, 24

WILMINGTON, Del. — It is with profound sadness that we remember 24-year-old Shakur Wilmer, whose life came to a heartbreaking end following a serious two-vehicle crash in Wilmington on Sunday night.

Shakur was one of two people injured in the collision, which occurred at approximately 9:17 p.m. on August 9 at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and North Adams Street.

According to Wilmington Police, the crash involved two vehicles. A 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Shakur was reportedly in critical condition following the crash. Despite efforts to save his life, he later succumbed to his injuries.

His passing has left family members, friends and loved ones facing the devastating reality of losing someone at just 24 years old.

At an age when so much of life should still be unfolding, Shakur’s journey was tragically cut short. There should have been more birthdays, more celebrations, more opportunities, more laughter, more memories and countless moments still waiting to be experienced.

A sudden loss like this can leave loved ones struggling to understand how someone who was there one day can be gone the next.

Behind the details of the crash was a young man who had a life beyond the headlines—a person who was loved, known and valued by the people around him. Shakur was someone’s son, someone’s brother, someone’s friend and someone’s loved one. His presence meant something to those whose lives he touched.

While news reports may focus on the circumstances of the crash, his family and friends will remember him for much more than the tragedy that claimed his life.

They will remember his personality, his smile, his voice, his conversations, his friendships and the ordinary moments that may now become some of their most treasured memories.

Sometimes it is the simplest memories that become the most meaningful after someone is gone. A photograph, a favorite song, a familiar place, a shared joke or a memory from an ordinary day can suddenly carry an entirely different meaning.

The crash has also left another young person injured. A 23-year-old woman was transported to the hospital following the collision. As the investigation continues, thoughts remain with everyone affected by this heartbreaking incident.

The Wilmington Police Special Operations Division/Traffic Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the collision to contact Corporal Amir Young at (302) 500-9228.

There is no easy way to prepare for the sudden loss of someone you love. Grief can come in waves, bringing moments of sadness, disbelief, anger and longing. For a family and group of friends mourning someone so young, the road ahead may be especially difficult.

Twenty-four years is far too short.

There were still dreams to chase, goals to accomplish, places to visit and memories to make. There were still chapters of life that had not yet been written.

But although Shakur’s life ended unexpectedly, the memories he created will continue to live through the people who knew him.

His family and friends can carry his memory forward by remembering the good moments, sharing stories about him and keeping alive the parts of his personality that made him special.

During this painful time, our thoughts and prayers are with Shakur Wilmer’s family, friends and loved ones. May they find strength in each other and comfort in the memories they shared with him.

May they find peace during the difficult days ahead and may the love surrounding them help them through this unimaginable loss.

  • In Loving Memory of David M. Boucher, 70

In Loving Memory of David M. Boucher, 70

BOOTHBAY, Maine — With heavy hearts, the community is mourning the loss of David M. Boucher, 70, of Edgecomb, who died Saturday following a single-vehicle crash on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, the crash was reported shortly before 1:55 p.m. Saturday. Investigators believe a medical event may have been the primary cause of the collision, though that determination remains pending a final review by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Authorities said Boucher was traveling south on Wiscasset Road in a white 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 when the pickup crossed the center line and entered the northbound lane. The truck then continued into a driveway, where it struck two parked vehicles that were unoccupied before eventually coming to rest against a shed.

Boucher was the only person inside the truck at the time of the crash.

Emergency medical personnel from the Boothbay Region Ambulance Service responded to the scene and made efforts to resuscitate Boucher. Despite those efforts, he could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said that neither speed nor alcohol is believed to have contributed to the crash. Authorities also reported that Boucher was not wearing a seatbelt and that the vehicle’s airbags did not deploy.

While the circumstances surrounding the collision are still being reviewed, investigators suspect that a medical event may have occurred before the crash. Officials emphasized that the suspected medical cause remains subject to final determination by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

For Boucher’s family and friends, however, the investigation is only one part of a much deeper and more painful story—the sudden loss of someone they knew, loved and cared about.

David was 70 years old, an age that represents decades of experiences, relationships, memories and moments shared with the people around him. His passing leaves behind a void that cannot easily be filled.

A sudden death can be particularly difficult for loved ones because there is often little opportunity to prepare for the goodbye. One moment can seem completely ordinary, and the next, a family is faced with news that changes everything.

As the Boothbay and Edgecomb communities learn of Boucher’s passing, those who knew him may find themselves remembering the moments that made him special. It may be the conversations, the laughter, the kindness he showed others, or simply the everyday memories that now carry greater meaning.

Although the crash brought a tragic end to his life, it does not erase the years he lived or the memories he created.

David’s family will now face the difficult days ahead without his presence. Birthdays, holidays, family gatherings and ordinary days may all feel different as they adjust to his absence. Grief has no simple timeline, and the pain of losing someone can remain long after the initial shock has passed.

During this difficult time, thoughts and prayers are with David M. Boucher’s family, friends and everyone who knew and loved him.

May they find comfort in the memories they shared with him and strength in the love that surrounds them. May they be given peace as they navigate the difficult journey of grief.

Authorities continue to review the circumstances of the crash, and anyone who witnessed the incident is being asked to contact the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 207-882-7332.

But beyond the investigation and the circumstances of the crash, David will be remembered first and foremost as a person whose life mattered.

His time on earth has come to an end, but the memories he left behind will remain with those who loved him.

Rest in peace, David M. Boucher. May you be remembered with love, honored through the memories you left behind, and forever held in the hearts of those who knew you.
