FAYETTE COUNTY, KY — The community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 16-year-old Di’Zhon Robertson, who died after a shooting at Charles Young Park.
Di’Zhon was rushed to UK Hospital, where he sadly died just after 7 p.m. His life ended far too soon, leaving his family, friends, and loved ones with a pain no words can truly describe.
At just 16, Di’Zhon had so much life ahead of him—dreams to chase, memories to make, and a future that should have been filled with countless possibilities.
The shooting also injured four other people, including a 4-year-old and a 14-year-old. Their injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.
But for Di’Zhon’s family, the loss is permanent. They should have been watching him grow, celebrating his milestones, and seeing the person he would become. Instead, they are left with memories and a heartbreaking goodbye.
Di’Zhon Robertson was only 16. He deserved more time.
May his memory live forever in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.
Rest peacefully, Di’Zhon. Gone far too soon, but never forgotten.
Our deepest condolences to the Robertson family and all who are mourning this devastating loss.
