INDEPENDENCE COUNTY, Ark. — A community is mourning the loss of 43-year-old Michelle Pack of Clinton, who died Friday afternoon, August 14, 2026, following a tragic head-on collision on State Highway 25 near Southside.
According to the preliminary report from Arkansas State Police, Pack was driving a 2020 Chrysler southbound on Highway 25 when her vehicle was struck by a northbound 2016 Ram 3500 driven by 75-year-old Bonnie Sprouse of Batesville. Authorities said the Ram crossed the centerline and collided head-on with Pack’s vehicle.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:05 p.m. near Highway 25 and Ponderosa Road. Weather conditions were clear, and the roadway was dry at the time.
Pack was killed in the collision. Sprouse survived but was injured and transported to White River Medical Center for treatment.
