KILLEEN, TEXAS — The Killeen community is mourning the loss of 30-year-old Ronald D’Andre Horne, who was fatally shot Saturday morning, August 15, 2026, in the 2900 block of John Porter Drive.
According to the Killeen Police Department, officers responded to the area at approximately 10:07 a.m. following a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they discovered an unconscious man lying in the roadway suffering from a gunshot wound.
Despite the efforts at the scene, Ronald did not survive his injuries. Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson identified him as Ronald D’Andre Horne, 30, and pronounced him deceased at approximately 10:34 a.m.
The news of Ronald’s passing is a heartbreaking reminder of how suddenly a life can be taken and how deeply one loss can affect family, friends, and an entire community.
