Nacole Bartolet, 20, of Whitehouse, Ohio, tragically lost her life Monday afternoon, August 17, 2026, following a two-vehicle crash in Ballville Township. Her sudden death has left family, friends, and loved ones mourning a young woman whose life ended far too soon.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 3:32 p.m. Monday at the intersection of U.S. Route 6 and State Route 53.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2004 Saturn Ion was traveling northbound on State Route 53 when its driver, 23-year-old Dylon Sinley of Seville, attempted to make a left turn. Investigators said Sinley failed to yield while making the turn.
The Saturn was then struck by a 2019 GMC Sierra traveling southbound. The GMC was being driven by 59-year-old Angela Ebbing of Troy.
Nacole was a passenger inside the Saturn at the time of the collision. Tragically, she suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
At just 20 years old, Nacole’s passing represents an immeasurable loss for the people who knew and loved her. Her life was cut short unexpectedly, leaving behind family and friends who must now face the difficult reality of her absence.
The crash also resulted in serious injuries to two other occupants of the Saturn. Sinley and 22-year-old Leia McIntire of Wooster were transported by ground ambulance to Mercy Health — St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo for medical treatment.
A passenger in the GMC Sierra was also injured. 64-year-old Michael Ebbing of Troy was transported to ProMedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont with injuries that were reported as non-life-threatening.
As investigators continue examining the circumstances surrounding the collision, Nacole’s loved ones are left to grieve a devastating and unexpected loss. Losing someone at such a young age can leave family and friends with countless memories, unanswered questions, and a deep sense of heartbreak.
Nacole will be remembered not simply because of the tragic circumstances that ended her life, but for the person she was and the relationships she built. The moments she shared with those closest to her will remain precious memories that her loved ones can carry with them in the years ahead.
Several emergency agencies responded to the crash and assisted at the scene, including the Sandusky County Sheriff’s Office, Sandusky County EMS, Ballville Township Fire Department, Sandusky County Coroner’s Office, and Madison Motors.
The Fremont Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the fatal collision. Authorities are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the crash, and additional information may be released as the investigation progresses.
For Nacole’s family and friends, the days ahead will be difficult. Her sudden passing has created a void that cannot easily be filled. Those who loved her will now have to find strength in the memories they shared with her and in the time they were fortunate enough to have together.
Though Nacole’s life ended far too soon, her memory will continue through the people whose lives she touched. Her loved ones will carry forward the memories of her presence, the moments they shared, and the impact she made during her 20 years of life.
May her family and friends find comfort and strength as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.
