The Oshkosh, Wisconsin, community is mourning the tragic death of 58-year-old Christopher Brink, who was fatally injured after being struck by a commercial vehicle Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Oshkosh Police Department, the deadly crash happened at approximately 4 p.m. at the intersection of High Avenue and North Main Street. Brink was identified as the pedestrian involved in the collision.
Emergency responders, including officers with the Oshkosh Police Department and paramedics from the Oshkosh Fire Department, were dispatched to the scene following the crash. Brink was seriously injured and transported by Oshkosh Fire Department crews to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah for medical treatment.
Despite the efforts of emergency personnel and medical staff, Brink later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
