According to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, Flores was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound while inside his vehicle in a parking lot at 1913 Cedar Lane Road in Greenville. The incident was reported to authorities at approximately 5:21 p.m. Tuesday after Flores was discovered inside the vehicle.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and worked to provide assistance before Flores was transported to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Despite efforts to save his life, he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital at approximately 5:53 p.m.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Roberto Armando Reynaga Flores, 29, of Greenville. Officials determined that he died as a result of at least one gunshot wound. His manner of death has been officially ruled a homicide.
An autopsy was scheduled for August 18 as authorities continued working to establish the full circumstances surrounding his death. Investigators have not yet released additional details about what led to the shooting or whether anyone has been arrested in connection with the case.
