INDEPENDENCE COUNTY, Ark. — The Clinton community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of 43-year-old Michelle Pack, who died Friday afternoon, August 14, 2026, in a tragic head-on collision on State Highway 25 near Southside.
According to a preliminary report from Arkansas State Police, Pack was traveling southbound on Highway 25 in a 2020 Chrysler when a northbound 2016 Ram 3500 crossed the centerline and struck her vehicle head-on. The Ram was driven by 75-year-old Bonnie Sprouse of Batesville.
The devastating collision occurred around 5:05 p.m. near Highway 25 and Ponderosa Road. Officials reported that conditions were clear and the roadway was dry when the crash happened.
Pack suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. Sprouse was injured in the collision and transported to White River Medical Center for medical care.
