WILSON, N.C. — A Wilson community is mourning the tragic loss of 54-year-old Khisha Williams, who died after being shot during a domestic-related incident at a Shell gas station on Raleigh Road Parkway.
According to the Wilson Police Department, officers were called to the Shell gas station at 4945 Raleigh Road Parkway at approximately 8:52 a.m. following a report of a domestic situation.
While officers were responding to the scene, the department’s communications staff notified them that a woman had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found Williams suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Emergency personnel immediately began efforts to get her medical attention. Williams was transported toward UNC Health for treatment, but tragically, she succumbed to her injuries while being transported to the hospital.
Despite efforts to save her life, she could not be saved.
Khisha’s death has left her family, friends and loved ones facing an unimaginable loss. At 54 years old, she was a woman whose life was filled with experiences, relationships, memories and people who cared deeply about her.
