It is with heavy hearts that we remember Toni Elena-Ann Salazar of Stuart, Iowa, whose life was tragically taken in a shooting that has left her loved ones and the Stuart community mourning.
Toni was fatally injured during the shooting in the 200 block of SW 6th Street in Stuart. Authorities said she was standing near a gazebo with another person when the alleged shooter approached them and fired a shotgun. Toni was struck by the gunfire and sadly succumbed to her injuries.
Her sudden passing has left behind grief that is difficult to put into words. For her family, friends and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her, the loss is a painful reminder of how precious and fragile life can be.
Although her life ended in a tragic circumstance, Toni’s story is about more than the incident that claimed her life. She will be remembered by those closest to her for the moments they shared, the memories she created and the place she held in their lives.
